Egg hunts come from the City of Orlando events calendar; services from each church’s own website; brunch only from each restaurant’s own page. The city lists the hunt with a brunch and a carnival at the Engelwood center. The listing does not yet give age groups or an end time; we will add them when the city does. More neighborhood center, park and church egg hunts usually appear on the city’s events calendar in February and March.

Church services

Downtown Orlando’s two cathedrals post their Holy Week and Easter schedules on their own sites:

  • Cathedral Church of St. Luke (Episcopal), 130 N. Magnolia Ave. Its regular Sunday services are at 8 a.m., 10:15 a.m. and 6 p.m., with the 10:15 a.m. service live-streamed, the cathedral’s website says. Easter has its own schedule.
  • St. James Cathedral (Catholic), 215 N. Orange Ave. Mass times and the Easter Triduum schedule are on the cathedral’s website.

We will add sunrise services and other congregations’ Easter times as they are posted. Send yours through our contact page.

Easter brunch

We list Easter brunch only when a restaurant announces it on its own website or menu, with the seatings it gives. None had been posted for 2027 when we checked. Until then, our brunch guide lists Orlando restaurants that serve brunch every Sunday, with links to each one’s own menu.

What is open and closed

Easter Sunday is not a City of Orlando holiday; the city’s observed holidays page does not list it.

  • Library: the Orange County Library System closed on Easter Sunday last year, April 5, 2026, its holiday hours page shows. The 2026-27 list had not been posted when we checked.
  • Parking: downtown on-street parking is free on Sundays, under the city’s on-street parking rules.
  • School: the OCPS 2026-27 calendar has spring break March 15-19, so students are in class the week of Easter. The next student holiday is Friday, April 23.
