When to go
With no city hours, the timing is up to each neighborhood. If yours has a homeowners association, it may post its own times or hold a community event. A few points to plan around:
- Oct. 31 is a Saturday, so there is no school the next day.
- Daylight saving time ends at 2 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 1. Clocks go back an hour after Halloween night, not before it.
- A porch light on is the usual sign that a house is handing out candy.
