About the parade

The city says the parade is one of Mayor Buddy Dyer’s signature events. It is hosted by the City of Orlando and the Mayor’s Veterans Advisory Council, with Tavistock and the Lake Nona VA Medical Center as partners. Holding it in Lake Nona puts the 2026 parade in the heart of the region’s veteran health care and support network, the city says.

The 2026 theme is “Veterans Helping Veterans and Their Families.” For the nation’s 250th anniversary, the parade will pay special tribute to those who served and to the military families and service organizations that support them, according to the city.
